WRONG. The right of self defense is absolute. No government has the power to take that away. The right to believe in any god or gods or not is absolute. No government has the power to take that away. The right to pursue happiness is absolute. No government has the power to take that away.
Regulating something is not banning something.
The 2nd amendment, which is also binding upon the States, says that no State shall be deprived of it's right to self defense through militias (as free States), and that the people shall not be deprived of their right to self defense by carrying and owning personal arms. ANY kind of arms. Swords, knives, guns of any make and model, bombs, ANYTHING.
ANY State that is trying to limit or curtail arms or infringe on the right of self defense, or any federal law that attempts to do so is unconstitutional.
If volsrock wants to own 10 guns, he has the right to do so. I own three, each for it's own purpose. I'm thinking of buying a 4th at some point, possibly a fifth...both long guns. All I have now is pistols.

A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

Really? You want to play the game with semantics?
Must be you didn’t see “constitutional” right, and as far as your supposed “absolute” rights, no where is it written one man can govern over another, as Locke would say we are all born into “perfect freedom,” so why does anyone in your argument even follow any governmental entity. It is stupid game of words
Also never said anything was banned, guess you missed that also, regulate was the exact word I used, and the prefatory clause you employed in your next argument has never been defined, no SCOTUS ever could get beyond it, which is why gun laws were seldom overturned, well, until
Scalia, he just skipped over it, your definition of it is just your definition of it and nothing more
And State laws are not unconstitutional, proven by the mere fact we have them, and have had them for over two hundred years
Now what fallacy will be deflected with now?

Really, then why do you have to have a permit to have a parade? Why can’t shout fire in a crowded theater? How come a newspaper can’t print top military secrets? Why aren’t prayers recited in public schools? etc., etc., etc. You can’t be that naive
And the abstract concept “Freedom” has been reduced to a bumper sticker, just cause someone can’t smoke a cigarette in public buildings is hardly what most wouldn’t call an infringement on their freedom
