Exactly, "You don't get to call journalists liars simply for debunking Trump's nonsense," lying is part of Trump's schtick, he has been telling them his whole life, if you do it enough people will begin to just accept it, plus, it will get you coverage, and in his world, as long as you are the news regardless of why, the other guy ain't

However, the real warping of the news is not just a matter of slanting coverage, but deliberately not covering the news at all.

In the last two weeks, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has achieved the most stunning breakthroughs in Middle Eastern diplomacy in over half a century. [VDH from link]

Covering it isn’t ‘mentioning it’: It’s the amount of broadcast minutes dedicated to the story.

Because people do not want to watch "boring" news. The media has to sensationalize everything to get viewers who want to have their own views reinforced by the commentators---usually negative stories about the other side.

The press began in this country as the "partisan press" sponsored by the political parties. People like Jefferson hired writers to place stories in newspapers.

I've corrected you on that point countless times. Your intellectual sloppiness is belied by your casual attitude toward spelling, IMO.

Two things happening there, one, it was covered, although I'd argue it wasn't as big a deal as some like to portray it, and secondly, it was over casted by Trump's antics and coverage, his quest to be the news everyday superseded news on his own accomplishments

It's effective with everyone. Experiments show if people receive repeated messages telling them X is not true eventually believe X is true although it is contrary to the message they have been receiving.

Bret Baier is right-ish but he at least tries to be impartial in his roll.

Tucker Carlson makes his loving speaking out against the lefties nonsense that dominates the other cable news outlets. And he’s living handsomely doing it.
And, Juan Williams needs to be on MSNBC. He's oblivious to facts.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

Well if you corrected it countless times you should know I don't give a damn how it is spelled, everyone including you know what I am saying, so the point it taken

And the "intellectual sloppiness" is comical coming from one who ninety nine percent of the time offers nothing but corny copy and pastes, the other one percent bans anyone who can challenge him

You're right. By spiking stories that don't fit the leftist narrative and employing "fact-checkers" (who are not independently fact-checked by anyone who is a leftist, BTW) to dismiss other points of view, the left controls the media and the information that shapes public discourse. I believe this was done by design, over the course of years.

It goes deeper. Facebook, Google/YouTube, and Twitter all censor what people can see on their platforms.

Not everyone. Easier to convince the stupid than a skeptical, educated person. The latter know to check the facts....if they haven't already verified the facts because most "news" is just the same shit all day long.
