The student loan program we've had since Bush is fraudulent to it's core and we need to wipe all of that debt out.

It should be and it should be counted like any other debt. That would mean many wouldn't qualify and maybe have to go to a cheaper university...

And/or cause the universities to drop their prices in order to stay competitive.

That’s the crux of the problem: it’s absurd for parents to have to refinance their homes to send their kids to college. It was *massively* cheaper 30 years ago. The cost of a college degree these days borders on criminal.

This is one instance where I wouldn’t mind a government take over.

They’ve taken over a large swath of medicine with Medicare and Medicaid so let the government step and set their tuition prices. And while they’re at it, mandate some ideological diversity in their hiring of professors.

Half the people employed by colleges are not teachers!!! They are administrators and guidance counselors and diversity consultants. And many of the teachers are teaching useless subjects like Gender Studies or Rhodesian History. There is so much waste in our colleges. Colleges should teach STEM only and 90% of employees should be teachers.
