I'm waiting to see what's going to happen. This could work either way for trump and the Republicans.
I know that trump's base will love it if they go ahead and appoint a justice. But trump needs to grow his base. How will independents feel if the GOP flip-flops and appoints a judge when they all claimed it shouldn't be done in an election year? This won't grow his base and likely will push fence-sitters to Biden/Harris.
