Dems have been saying they are going to get rid of the fillibuster if they get the majority

Biden signals openness to eliminating Senate filibuster
    https://www.politico.com/news/2020/0...ibuster-360587

considering such, there is no reason to stand on any traditions/limitations, as the Dems promised to just ramrod their way as it is thru the Senate

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

My thread was better....you chose poorly.
This illegal illegitimate regime that runs America is at fault...not me.... they do not represent me and I have long objected to their crimes against humanity.

Well, since both parties need to be balanced out she really needs to be replaced equally. I don't trust either party enough to give them too much power. Well, look forward to Trump not being able to appoint because of McConnell.

    What a good idea!

Trump could clinch the election, save his butt from indictment and justice.

Is he smart enough to do something like that?

He of all people should know that in the eyes of his cult he can do no wrong.

This is the guy who could shoot someone on 5th Avenue.

So far, they have forgiven him for anything he wanted to do. Why should this be any different? They don't really care about issues. It's all emotional with his base.

He could grab votes outta the middle and still have his base.

The only problem is, I don't think he's quite sharp enough to even consider anything like that.

I bet McConnell goes full steam ahead to confirm any nominee. Screw what he did with Obama's nominee Merrick Garland. That was then. He's in the tank for Trump. Why would he care about contradicting himself? His reelection is safe no matter what he does. Kentucky is pretty solid behind him.

Cocaine Mitch is ready to blow the doors open. Every flake will have its snow. Every trick-or-treater will have its candy come Halloween. It's going to be a white Christmas. He will deliver to his crooked wife a pearl for the holidays. All your base are belong to us!
