They will pull what McConnell and Republicans did. Being in the midst of a pandemic will give them twice the reasoning. If democrats act as childish as they did things will linger like most things that go through congress. Another thing is the current unrest in the nation. Ruth was one of the greatest modern day champions for the issues at hand. Having Trump replace her in all these circumstances would be mad. As a Christian I see the shadow of the devil around with all these things happening to ignite more fires while the others don't have time to settle. You may have untold conflict modern America has never seen.

Both sides get wonky when they have too much power. I, like Dutch Uncle, are worried about Trump giving too much power to the left do to his debilitation of the Republican brand. I like balance since both sides have shitty quirks.

I originally did not think you were lying, but now I know you are lying. The FBI would not be involved with admission into a state bar. You see, the FBI is a federal investigative body, and the state bars are state level. Each state has different "character and fitness" requirements, and some have none.
Federal district courts do not require an FBI screening either. It almost always requires admission in at least one state bar.
There is no requirement that a Supreme Court appointee be admitted to any bar, or even be a lawyer. It would be bizarre to nominate a non-lawyer, but it has been done in state supreme courts.
