Dems. never used the nuclear option for SC justices. They were forced to use it for other justices because Republicans refused to allow any of Obama's appointments.

Dems should have never set that precedent. It came back to haunt them. Republicans were "forced" to use it on SC nominees because the Democrats were blocking the nominee.

Republicans first threatened to use it when the Democrats were blocking Bush's appointments.

The point of having the majority is to achieve the goals of your side. Both sides use the same tactics when necessary--it is not any more unethical for one to use it than the other. Only partisan bias pretends one side is more justified than the other.
