Their two children had their own small home on the estate next to the grand mansion. When they wanted to see their children, the parents would ring her to bring them up to the house. She would get them dressed in their finest, like going to church, and take them to their parents. They would sit in the parlor or living room or whatever it was called and chat about their lessons and what their upcoming travel plans were, then she would take them back to their house again. She accompanied them on trips, got to see a lot of the world that way. Again though, the children were kept separate from the parents wherever they stayed.

It's hard for a typical American or non-wealthy person to understand that way of life, but it sounds like something done in the Trump dynasty, doesn't it? That "glamor shot" photo of the Toadstool, Melania, and Barron posing in the gilded room speaks volumes. He is posed away from the parents, on a toy lion, with limos and a sports car toys at his feet.

They are disgusting unAmerican people who would be royalty if they could.
I can’t imagine not personally interacting with my family. Why have children, I guess it’s a status thing?

An article in today's Times lists causes for Johnson's apparent depression, amongst which is the fear that, on a mere £150,000 a year, he may not be able to afford a nanny. Poor old bugger might have to see his children in their natural state, the whole football team, should they ever meet!

I think it has more to do with inheritance and passing along the family genes and fortune. I can't imagine giving birth, then handing over my child to be cuddled, fed, loved, and raised by someone else. I wonder if that's why the Trump spawn seem to have little to no empathy.

Dog? He barely stands his children, except for Ivanka.

Note the two opposing positions in his comment. He may never even see the kids but he'll be a good father.

“The way I look at it, there’s nothing like a good marriage,” Donald Trump said in an interview with Larry King in May 2005, shortly after his marriage to Melania and a little less than a year before the birth of his youngest son. “And there’s nothing like having children. If you have the money, having children is great. Now I know Melania, I’m not gonna to be doing the diapers, I’m not gonna be making the food, I may never even see the kids. She’ll be an unbelievable mother. I’ll be a good father.

He was right, but the sad thing, I think Barron is happy with that arrangement, that he’s Melania’s son as Trump once called him.

I'm always amused when the Never Trumpers spout this kind of a Tourettes type response.

The only way you can dispute this is if you never listened to or read his own words regarding the kids.

We could play thousands of videos of Trump saying horrible shit -- and they would still call it fake news.
