What this all boils down to, of course, is the white fans are pissed off that the owners made the wise business decision to allow #TakeAKnee before the game as a silent statement of solidarity with civil rights groups like BLM. They realized that yeah, the racists like we see in this thread will be pissed. But they also reasoned that they stand to gain much more by showing fans who are POC that they support their players of all races.

What is ironic here is that these same racists who are OUTRAGED by the protests over the deaths of black children and men at the hands of the police claim that they only support "peaceful protests." What is taking a knee, but a peaceful silent statement? Yet even *that* outraged them. IOW, they don't want to hear it. Any of it. They prefer to live in their bubbles of whiteness where they can pretend not to see what it is like to be the average non-white person in America.

Maybe if they had supported Kaepernick and his message, the current protests would not have had to happen, eh?

I've unfortunately known Toxic Top for a decade now. She is incapable of learning. She is racist to the core. What makes this more insidious than the n-word-shouters like CFM is that she doesn't understand that she is racist. One example: On yet another discussion of racism in America, she insisted that none of her black neighbors have ever felt "oppressed." Really? How would someone know that unless they brought up the topic of racism in the first place, and outright asked: "Have you ever experienced discrimination that you felt was based on your color?"

Not to single just her out, although she is a good example. A good many RW whites are exactly like her. Just because you have a black family living in a comparable home to yours, down the street, doesn't mean that they have not had struggles that you cannot comprehend, because you were lucky enough to be born into the majority.
