People used to use sports as a method to get away from the politics for a short period. Now, the athletes are using politics to push an agenda and narrative. At least some of them are.

Sports plays a role in terms of cultural unity. Well, it used to. Athletes are certainly entitled to their opinions and no one challenges their rights to be heard but the owners allowed it to come onto the playing field.

To the detriment of the sport. Could you even imagine, if the NFL allowed big red MAGA stickers plastered onto the sides of players helmets lol?

Corporations are giving the millenials what they want. They are advertisers' prime, target market. And Marketers don't care about the over 50 group because they are already brand loyal
