Is this a bigger deal than having the unions around to help the political class deceive the citizens, which is how I noticed that it works here in Washington State?

Then why is there so little talk about this? I dont recall BLM or the other anarchists demanding it for instance.

I think he got a point. The claim is that the Left wants to "defund" the police, then by logical extension, they want the police unions eliminated.

Public union contracts force the current legislatures to honor agreements made by past legislatures.

In Michigan the MEA is a great example. The teacher's union...which should be disbanded tomorrow if I had my way.

I'm pretty sure they want to abolish the police. No police, no police union.

I've never heard that the GOP used the MEA or any education/public union to force future legislatures to deal with the will of previous legislatures".

They did. We got stuck with common core here because the GOP made it happen. We got the property tax redux here because the GOP made it happen. GOP made it happen.

No, I'd appreciate a link to the relevant information that details how "the GOP used the MEA to force future legislatures to deal with the will of previous legislatures", and "made Common Core and "property tax redux happen."

I checked MEA.org and they don't seem to be allied with the GOP, to put it mildly. Did I misunderstand?
