Not my creation. Goes back a few decades. The idea is Pennsylvania is a combination between Pennsylvania and Kentucky. There is also the term Pennslybama, with Pennsylvania being a combination between Pennsylvania, and Alabama, but I do not think that works as well.

There are parts of rural Pennsylvania which can be very "Kentucky-like", being much poorer than the rest of the state.

Interesting...why is being "Kentucky-like" "poor" in your mind?

Trump's cult is fascinating as you see in the above replies, there is no content, it is the argument of the child who says, no, you are. Trump is the 'Jim Jones' of the American right and they take the poison and still cheer. It is so un-American and so irrational but still they follow. Some of course are trolls of various blends.

What genuine freedom loving America could follow a man this stupid? It is a hard question but as I noted a few people have commented that they never understood Stalin or Hitler or Mao until they witnessed Trump followers. https://www.justplainpolitics.com/sh...39#post3893739

Book below covers the threat Trump and his sycophants pose to our nation.

"What is patriotism? Let us begin with what patriotism is not. It is not patriotic to dodge the draft and to mock war heroes and their families. It is not patriotic to discriminate against active-duty members of the armed forces in one's companies, or to campaign to keep disabled veterans away from one's property. It is not patriotic to compare one's search for sexual partners in New York with the military service in Vietnam that one has dodged. It is not patriotic to avoid paying taxes, especially when American working families do pay. It is not patriotic to ask those working, taxpaying American families to finance one's own presidential campaign, and then to spend their contributions in one's own companies. It is not patriotic to admire foreign dictators. It is not patriotic to cultivate a relationship with Muammar Gaddafi; or to say that Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin are superior leaders. It is not patriotic to call upon Russia to intervene in an American presidential election. It is not patriotic to cite Russian propaganda at rallies." Timothy Snyder 'On Tyranny'

Education/common sense/wisdom: three distinct things lol.

Poor white people often have two out of the three. Or poor people, generally.

Ohio's got it all, doesn't it? Rural Ohio is beautiful....
There are some in every state who don't try....rural or urban.... And honestly? Sometimes, if you listen closely, you will see that it just might be better to be poor than to have 6 full time jobs

Hamilton County (with Cincinnati) is literally twice as rich as Delaware County. Athens County is three times as rich as Delaware County. There are about 68 counties like Delaware County, but Delaware is the worst.

It is odd that so many people in rural Ohio are so poor. What is your theory as to why all these trump voters are not trying?

Well, I found a list of Ohio counties by per capita wealth. There are 68 counties with below Ohio average of wealth. They are all white majority, and all but three 94-99% white. They are all very rural. They are all highly dependent on government handouts. None include any of the big cities of Ohio. All but two voted overwhelmingly for trump.

The counties containing cities are doing quite well. The cities themselves are doing well. It is the rural white counties that are the train wrecks.

Lets say the Alt Right crazies are able to destroy the cities, will they be able to replace them? I don't think so.

Just a side note, productivity by my definition does not include crystal meth. You guys are very productive in that one narrow field. That (along with the opioid epidemic) is part of the reason trump voters are so unproductive.

True dat. I sometimes envy the lazy bastids, lol.

Ohio does have it all, and very affordable.

This thread is simply another example of lib hypocrisy. I thought libs cared about the poor?

Thank you! Full disclosure, I borrowed the phrase from a black Christian friend of my wife. I thought it sounded better than "all lives matter".

I do mean every life, including feline. Still working on the Cat Shack addition, but the beasties are now occupying it during the day.
