Envy was once considered to be one of the seven deadly sins before it became one of the most admired virtues under its new name, ‘social justice.’

Sowell has been preaching the right wing/corporatist mantra for decades, and has had his bread buttered lavishly by right wing think tanks and academia.

However, in order to buy into his bilge, you have to ignore a few things. You have to ignore the history of caste, class and racial bias that is interwoven in this country's economy. You can't create wealth when the very system that determines such does NOT want you to have it. You have to ignore that Jim Crow just ended 52 years ago, and that legal cases of red lining, etc. are STILL being logged across the country. Redistribution of wealth means that the workers actually get a living wage derived from the profits of their labor that the owners and investors make record gains from. It means that the wealthy actually pay their fair share of income taxes, so tthe national economy does better for all (i.e., no more tax free corporated relocations, domestic or foreign). But I'm not the only one who easily see the fallacy of Sowell's rhetoric:

He was quoting Walter Williams, how sad that they've never gone out on the streets and burned, looted and murdered like your heroes and heroines.

Note, dear readers, that when I quickly and efficiently pointed out the painfully obvious deficiencies of Thomas Sowell's philosophy and provided other more assessments from others over the years, Primo just moves the goal post.

Typical right wing wonk move....never admit error or concede a point, just try to detour to another subject and try build a bridge (that in some bizarre way) to support the OP's contention.

It Failed. What I stated stands valid, and Primo can't handle it point for point.

As to the detour....if the Maryland court finds the guy guilty, that's a good thing. Best to weed out bad apples no matter how many good causes they wrap themselves in. Pity Primo, tea party people, neo-conservatives and the GOP didn't feel the same way when Ollie North, Scooter Libby and Dick Cheney committed treason and were NEVER prosecuted for it.
