Default COVID-19 cases will surge in the fall, peak after Election Day

Experts say a second wave of COVID-19 cases will surge this fall, with the peak of the pandemic slated to hit after the Nov. 3 Election Day.

Doctors at Johns Hopkins University are looking into what they call "Surge 2.0," where they envision a second major outbreak of the virus could potentially overwhelm medical facilities with COVID-19 patients

Lisa Lockerd Maragakis, an associate professor of medicine and infectious diseases, said despite the nearly 190,000 U.S. fatalities caused by the virus so far, more lives could be at risk in the event of another significant nationwide spike.

Trump tweet in 2009 " Obama's handling of this pandemic has been terrible. As president ALL responsibility becomes yours during a crisis like this ,whether or not you are to blame.John Mccain and myself would never let thousands of Americans die from a pandemic while in office.'

Trump is a well known liar and hypocrite. I doubt he even remembers that tweet. He'll justify anything he does with "that's different" or some other lie.

The fact remains, regardless of who wins the election, the US is going to suffer a lot of pain by the end of the year. Let's hope the nation as a whole learns from this lack of preparation and from electing idiots for leaders.

Well, when up to 90% of PCR tests are ringing up false positives, how many actual ‘cases’ are actually out there?

And was that factored into their models? Almost certainly not.

Dude, when you post stupid shit like that all it does is prove 1) you don't know shit about medicine or science and 2) that you are either a liar or woefully misinformed.

What about accuracy? False negatives — that is, a test that says you don’t have the virus when you actually do have the virus — may occur. The reported rate of false negatives is as low as 2% and as high as 37%. The reported rate of false positives — that is, a test that says you have the virus when you actually do not — is 5% or lower.

And someone please defend this statement from the FL virus guru lol.

Our cases peaked in about the second to third week of July, and that was reflected not only in the number of cases in the county, but also in the number of patients that we were seeing in the hospital… In addition, we have seen the people modify their behavior. The use of masks, we believe, is what’s resulted in cases dropping inexplicably, and they have been able to go down.”

Thanks for additional proof you don't know shit about medical science and, now, that your reading skills are at HS or lower levels.

Do you even understand what this says?:
In three sets of testing data that include cycle thresholds, compiled by officials in Massachusetts, New York and Nevada, up to 90 percent of people testing positive carried barely any virus, a review by The Times found.

On Thursday, the United States recorded 45,604 new coronavirus cases, according to a database maintained by The Times. If the rates of contagiousness in Massachusetts and New York were to apply nationwide, then perhaps only 4,500 of those people may actually need to isolate and submit to contact tracing.

This is not a "false positive". The people are infected, they simply are not infected enough to warrant isolation according to some doctors.

Dude, even Trump now claims COVID-19 isn't a hoax. Didn't you get the memo in your asylum room?

I'll wear one until there is a vaccine.

AGW is not provable either way. I have urged environmentalists to abandon it as an argument, because it's nearly impossible to improve it's factual. But the opposite is also true.

you really need to wear one the rest of your life

    1) vaccines are never 100% effective
    2) there are other viruses out there that can kill you

    Don your mask forever

Thank you for an excellent example of a Straw Man argument. It's proof that, even though you are a lying POS sock puppeteer scumbag, that you can still be of use to this forum. Kudos!
