Ah, but the difference is, in California most of the influx has been the poor, and new immigration from the Third World while Arizona has seen an expansion of the Middle Class. So, while California is gaining more poor, homeless, illegals, and other non-productive leeches on society, they are losing the Middle Class workforce and tax base they need.

In 2019 there were 29,000 piles of poop on the pavements and other public spaces of "San Francisco Shitty" reported to the City Council, who sent out squads of poop cleaners to get rid of them all ! The fact is that California only creates about a third of the engineers that it uses, so the other two thirds come from the rest of the country. Most of the actors in California come from somewhere else. I could go on and on, but you get the point. Millions of people still go to California to find their fortune.

And then millions of people leave California when they either found their fortune, or did not.
