WASHINGTON — Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California announced on Sunday that she will call the House back from its annual summer recess for a vote this week on legislation that will block the Postal Service from enforcing any changes to policy that was in place at the start of the year.

“Lives, livelihoods and the life of our American democracy are under threat from the president,” Ms. Pelosi said in a letter to Democratic lawmakers. “That is why I am calling upon the House to return to session later this week.”

“What you are witnessing is a president of the United States who is doing everything he can to suppress the vote, make it harder for people to engage in mail-in balloting at a time when people will be putting their lives on the line by having to go out to a polling station and vote,” Sanders told NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, referring to the coronavirus pandemic.
“This is a crisis for American democracy. We have got to act and act now.”

When the post office runs out of money it will shut down.
I choose my own words like the Americans of olden times........before this dystopia arrived.
DARK AGES SUCK!
Panicked Pelosi...
and that would be due to REPUBLICANS in Congress creating a situation that INEVITABLY leads to bankruptcy. https://www.theweek.com/articles/767...ke-post-office
Covid-19 in conjunction with Dump's inserting Dejoy will put an end to one of the largest unions in the country that consistently voted democratic. Coincidence? Hmmmm?

This is a non-issue looking for political backing. Think about this. The USPS every year has a rush at Christmas time on deliveries. Once every four years there is a major national election, and another lesser one every two years. Why all-of-a-sudden does the USPS require a massive dose of new money, masses of new workers, and more of everything else to perform it's function for what amounts to a matter of a few weeks of increased volume once every four years?
This smacks of idiots having made an issue out of a nothing burger mostly because the idiots created the problem themselves. The Democrats are the ones pushing for 'vote by mail.' They created the problem. I think a better answer is not relying on vote by mail but to change in-person voting sufficiently to make that work correctly--which includes a voter ID requirement.
Of course, that's everything the Democrats don't want. They want a f***ed up voting system ripe for fraud. They want the system to be questionable. Otherwise they wouldn't be pushing so hard for something as fouled up as all vote by mail elections.
