There’s no shortage of pre-2020 studies on the efficacy of masks vs transmission of respiratory viruses in *a clinical setting* where variables can be controlled—at least to some extent.

They tend to ‘not favor the narrative’. Probably why the WHO and Fauci’s *first position* was to not favor the public use of masks. Then politics got into it.

There is simply no way ‘science can say’ the public use of masks [anything from a bandanna to an N95] matters one way or another in terms of mitigating transmission of a respiratory virus in a public setting.

The variables border on infinite. A bit like climate change.

Surgical masks [basically what they are mandating] are designed with bacteria in mind and/or droplets. In fact, the reason they are worn in surgery has absolutely nothing to with viral transmission; it’s has to do with preventing *bacterial born* post operative wound infections.

Bacteria are measured in microns and viruses are measured in nanometers.

Anyone who has had formal study in microbiology could stop reading there right lol. Viruses are small enough to hitch a ride on aerosols. Aerosols go pretty much wherever exhaled air goes. Smell someone’s breath? Your breath goes right through your mask. That’s an aerosol. Smell cologne from six feet away? Aerosol.

We’re becoming a nation of cowards and lemmings that can’t/won’t think for themselves.
