Well said. If the universe is a basketball court, we can see one strand of one of the threads on the net. In other words, we have no idea that’s there’s a game going on on the court, what the rules are, or what the goal is. But religion has decided they know ALL of that. It’s pretty laughable.

Trump routinely takes hard questions from reporters and Biden is being shielded from questions because he can't handle it. You may not like Trump but one thing for sure is he is cognitively intact. You on the other hand...I'm not so sure about. Don't believe I'm a doctor would you like to discuss how 2,3-diphosphoglycerate is produced and what its role is in the oxyhemoglobin dissociation curve?

The closest anyone can get to origins is understanding science and cosmology.
The closest we can get to peace of mind and happiness is in satisfying deeds, family, vocations and avocations.
Therefore religions are at best utterly worthless. QED!
"Biden is being shielded from questions because he can't handle it. "
Wrong, he is flying under the radar because he can, leading by a dozen. Trump would do the same if he were in Biden's shoes and intelligent.
Being an "eternal victim" AKA victim mentality is an illness all by itself although not formally named so:

The victim will definitely complain and even whine to others about how hard life is. But if anyone ever offers him some options for changing that life, the victim classically comes back with a long list of "Yes, buts."

Frustration, anger, and resentment
A victim mentality can take a toll on emotional well-being.
People with this mindset might feel:
- frustrated and angry with a world that seems against them
- hopeless about their circumstances never changing
- hurt when they believe loved ones don’t care
- resentful of people who seem happy and successful
These emotions can weigh heavily on people who believe they’ll always be victims, building and festering when they aren’t addressed. Over time, these feelings might contribute to:
- angry outbursts
- depression
- isolation
- loneliness

Agreed on all points. On religion, please remember that spiritual growth was the initial goal. Human beings, being still too apish for their own good, tend to fuck up large, powerful organizations over time regardless of their nature. They could be a corporation, a religion or a government. A main problem seems to always fall back on the old aphorism about how power corrupts.
I strongly believe there is a third component to existence, that being a spiritual side, but there is zero physical evidence of such a thing. It's like telekinesis, telepathy or "magic". Anyone who claims to have spiritual powers of any kind is either lying or delusional. Nonetheless, virtually all of humanity, over 95%, believes there is something to it.
