One way to get them out is to promise to be most progressive president in history.

The rest of us can sit back and hope Biden stabs them in the back if he gets in office. Frankly, I have a bad feeling about it.

Problem is, so many voters perceive picking a VP based on skin color is *the definition of racism*.

Fair point. There really is an enthusiasm gap between younger and older voters, regardless of race. I think this election is unique. The enthusiasm is very much an anti Trump enthusiasm.

I'd love Presidential candidates to pick "the best person for the job," without demographic, geographic or other electoral considerations.

That has never happened in U.S. history, however. There is nothing to see here.

I think Biden is looking for a trusted adviser over a more political pick. Seems like Harris is almost a shoe in for AG, I think she's better suited for that role anyway. I think it's Rice or Bass. But we'll see. Harris is probably the best for the campaign trail, but that factor is muted this year. I'm betting on Rice.
I think still think Rice would be a big mistake, Benghazi, Benghazi

What is Harris's baggage? Just because she dated Willy Brown 20 years ago?

I think Biden is good at timing and is building anticipation.

Ron Johnson has started up the Hunter Biden 'investigation'. It makes no difference who is picked. They will make up something about that person. Benghazi isn't what stuck to Clinton. I don't think it would hurt Rice either. Just my two cents, but it makes little difference what pretext the gutless Republicans use to sling mud, they will indeed sling it. I think they've already floated the Kamala Harris birther thing.

    What's Darth's rush?

It's a big decision. It's someone who could be our President.

    Take your time, Joe.

LOL, screwing a hooker and paying her off with hush money isn't a disqualifying factor in the minds of Republicans, but they are sure to run with this one.

The best person for the job wouldn't take it. That's why they're the best person for the job.

LOL - sadly true. We have really made the process prohibitive for sane, intelligent people.

I think most Americans see the difference, choosing a person from a historically prejudiced race who is very well qualified, at this time in our history is helpful, there is a huge advantage to making a point of becoming more inclusive as long as the candidate is qualified. Diversity adds strength.

Stacy Abrams? With Georgia at 50/50 she might deliver the State for him.
