We don't know if it was a lie. There are conflicting witnesses. And of course the policeman wouldn't incriminate himself.

The facts don’t matter in the Michael Brown instance so long as it ‘serves a larger truth’.

I think police mistreatment of black people over the decades has been factually well documented so a movement to improve that is not in and of itself a bad thing. And there had been momentum building in pushing for reform. I agree the Michael Brown story as liberals tell it is a lie. And even BLM lies when it comes to the numbers of people killed so as some black writers have said part of the movement is based on a lie. (Coleman Hughes has written some excellent pieces on this)

Here’s an excellent article from Coleman Hughes on BLM. (You can find a YouTube clip about this article where he adds additional commentary. Highly recommend it.). Coleman is a young black intellectual. Politically he was an Andrew Yang guy and I believe he said he’s voting for Biden but he doesn’t write about partisan politics nor who people should vote for. He’s an ideas guy and even though he votes for Democrats he’s been called an Uncle Tom, a sell out and every other name in the book based on what he’s said about racial issues.

He's 24 and just graduated from Columbia. I'm almost double his age and feel like I know half of what he does. Haha.

You know how you almost randomly come across people you really like? He's one of those for me. There are so many political partisan writers there that they get tiring after awhile. This guy talks ideas and history and of course racial issues and I find him very refreshing and thought provoking even when I disagree with him. So I'm a big fan.

Actually he was killed because he attacked a police officer and tried to take his gun. One doesn't need a degree from an Ivy League school to know that's probably not going to end well for you.
