So that's why you support Trump - he's the champion of Good.

Honesty, selflessness, empathy, all that good stuff.

Based upon current state-by-state polling, which is naturally subject to change, MSNBC’s resident election analyst predicted Donald Trump will suffer an embarrassing defeat in November unless his campaign can come up with something to stop his collapsing approval numbers.

Standing before a US map, analyst Steve Kornacki broke down for host Yasmin Vossoughian the president’s uphill battle to get within striking distance of presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

“What we have here is our first look from NBC at what the electoral map looks like right now,” he explained before adding, “Things could change.”

“Remember, Trump had 306 on election night, 2016. How many does as he have as of now in August? We think he only has 125 in the bag and we think Biden is sitting there at 334 — these are the states that are solidly Biden and the states that are leaning Biden.

“What we’re seeing is big gains for the Democrats,” he continued. “Where are the Democratic gains on this map from 2016? Six states: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin — we talked about those — all of the polling in those states have been very encouraging for the Democrats, plus Arizona and Florida — that is a big one, 29 electoral votes — and North Carolina. Those six states, we think, right now, are leaning toward and moving toward the Biden column and those six states add to what Hillary Clinton had: 334.”

Kornacki added that the Trump campaign is now being forced to play on defense by trying to keep the states they won in 2016 because they have made no inroads on states Clinton won.
I hope they are right, but I think it is a little optimistic; especially using MSNBC analysis. They were terrible in 2016:

I support Trump for a lot of reasons, that he is the most honest guy to come down the Pike in a long while is only one.

That he has given so much to the nation is another.

Empathy is overrated by a country mile.

negative thinking is poison. that's my point. I have this discussion with my dad too. all the time.

it's that go along to get along attitude towards evil that permeates the boomer upper middle class.

he also plays the "I don't care, im about to die" card.

I think you support him for one main reason - you agree with what he says are his priorities, and you think he can and will carry them out.

But he is a liar, cheat and two-bit con man, and he never gave anything to anyone. So good luck with that.

Ok, you could have said that.

Truth Tellers are reality based, we think about and talk about what is, we filter our such bias in our thinking because it gets in our way. I am of course also a Zennist, we believe that the self is a necessary illusion but an illusion none the less, we spend a lot of time in our early training taming the ego so that we can see clearly. We do believe in mental hygiene, but in our schemes negative thinking is that which keeps us from seeing the Universe as it is, it has nothing to do with whether we like what we are seeing or not....its all about the quality of the work not what we like and dont like.

I do understand the Western Power of Positive Thinking regime to some extent , and find some of the motivations for it admirable, but it has nothing to offer me, an Eastern trained truth teller.

he says he's a realist too. the truth is that beliefs matter, and the picture of society that the establishment tries to impress on us is designed to inculcate nihilism and despondence. demoralization
