I didn’t get a chance to listen but I know for me personally growing up and going to school in Oakland I was exposed to a lot of diversity in terms of race and ethnicity as well as economically, had a couple classmates whose parents were CEO’s and had classmates who lived in public housing projects.
In hindsight there was zero diversity from a political perspective, it was completely monolithic. But on the whole I’m grateful for the experiences I had and it benefits me to do this day in terms of being able to talk to and relate with people from all walks of life.
