Texas not improving; getting worse instead

For all the Conservative mishegoss about the success story of Texas, let's stop for a moment and consider the following data as of this morning:

-> Yesterday, Texas added 11,000+ new cases of COVID, it's highest amount since July 15th.

-> Yesterday, Texas added 205 new deaths, the fifth time in the last seven days that Texas' death toll topped 200.

We can reasonably expect that daily death count to hover in the 200/day range since 11K new cases were added yesterday, and deaths usually trail infections by about 2 weeks.

So the deaths we are seeing now came from the spike in infections Texas was experiencing 1-2 weeks ago.

This latest spike guarantees that death rate will continue to be at least 200 a day for the next 1-2 weeks.

Texas is a disaster and there's no light at the end of the tunnel.
