Please keep this non political, just interested in if people think they have already had it or not and have not been tested yet.
My opinion....... I think it is far more widespread than many believe and a huge amount of people have had it and recovered already without ever being tested. NOT going to say my opinion is totally guided by fact either, more just a gut instinct.
Hard to say. There have been a few confirmed cases in my county recently, but no one is in the hospital the GF works at, none in another hospital in their "network" and just 2 in the large hospital 20 miles away.
Myself, I don't know, as I have allergies and can't breath through my nose at times. I could have, I go out and go to car shows every weekend.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Had it in January, still kicking. *shrug*
Good responses so far, and thanks for everyone not bringing politics into it.

No one here but my Mom's friend did. From what I've heard of the experience, complaining about a wee cloth covering to them is like complaining about a charlie horse to a soldier that had their leg blown off. Basically they would both look at you and see a weak, spoiled little brat.

My county was the last in state to have 0 cases until just after 4th of July. Now as of Aug. 1st we have 20 cases. I don't think it was around here until the 4th of July parties started.

It's probably not as widespread as you believe. I know several people that were convinced they had it but the tests ended up being negative.
In NYC, tests have shown maybe 25% likely had it and deaths are 0.26% of the total population. Even if we assume 100% in NYC were infected, the lack of deaths and hospitalizations in the rest of the country point to the infection being at most 20% of the US population having had it. If we assume 25% of NYC was infected then we are looking at 18 million in the US infected and can probably double that due to increased protection of the vulnerable so max is about 35 million infections vs the 5 million positive tests.

I have heard that the effects of Covid vary wildly from person to person. For some they have zero symptoms, others have similar to a light cold, while others have symptoms of a terrible cold/ flu. While others have about the worst flu symptoms imaginable. Pretty wide spectrum there......
If ANY of us do get it lets just hope it is the no symptoms or light cold variety.
