Default Neil Young sues Donald Trump campaign for using his music

Neil Young is suing Donald Trump’s campaign for alleged illegal usage of his music at a rally.

The musician claims that Rockin’ in the Free World and Devil’s Sidewalk were played at the president’s recent rally in Tulsa without a license. Both songs have also been used before by the campaign.

“This complaint is not intended to disrespect the rights and opinions of American citizens, who are free to support the candidate of their choosing,” reads the copyright infringement complaint filed in New York federal court. “However, Plaintiff in good conscience cannot allow his music to be used as a ‘theme song’ for a divisive, un-American campaign of ignorance and hate.”

    Right on. Good riddance.

You'll have to excuse my absence from this thread and the board.

I have not posted for a few hours.

As soon as I heard that Neil Young is suing Donald Trump I immediately found a great Neil Young Concert online and watched the whole thing. I forgot all about Donald Trump. It was awesome.

This is the one I put on.

    Great show.

I would recommend putting it on a nice system and cranking it up:

    Not the only one

Pretty soon he’ll be left with Ted Nugent

Cognitive Dissonance is a powerful mindfuck. It transfixes it's host with the terror of inconvenient truth .. the brain becomes motionless .. and all avenues to critical thought are blocked.

Even science no longer makes sense.

I cannot think of any rock bands or musicians who want to be associated with Trump.

The cool people basically do not associate with Republicans.

From what I can tell, the Republican base is largely sustained by angry old men and bitter INCELs.

    Neil Young cool?

From what I can tell, the Democrat base is largely sustained by idiots that think gender identity, sexual orientation, race, and the like are qualifications.

I hear the GOP convention will open with "Wango Tango" by Ted Nugent.

    Ha!

I hung out with the rockers and metal heads in HS and I do not know any of them who bought Nuge's albums or thought he was cool. He was always kind of a running joke. Little did we know he was also a pedophile!

if a musician releases his music to be used under license he can't pick and choose who gets to use it......he can remove it from the market place or he can cash his checks.........after the Rushmore event the campaign issued a statement that licensing fees have been paid.......
