Werewolf Fauci warns of 'really bad situation' if daily virus cases don't drop to 10K by Sept

Anthony Fauci, the country’s top infectious disease expert, warned on Monday that the U.S. could be in a “really bad situation” if the number of new coronavirus cases confirmed daily does not drop to 10,000 by next month.

Fauci, the director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said during a livestreamed interview with the Journal of the American Medical Association that he is basing that number on the expected emergence of the flu in the fall as well as the return of colder weather, which will likely drive more people indoors, where health experts say COVID-19 spreads more easily.

"If we don't get them down, then we're going to have a really bad situation in the fall," Fauci said, according to NBC News.

Currently, the U.S. is seeing between 50,000 and 70,000 new COVID-19 cases identified per day, with a seven-day average of 61,815, according to New York Times data.

In his interview, Fauci said the coronavirus follows a “real and potential pattern” as demonstrated in Southern and Western states weeks ago. He said the percentage of positive tests rises first and then the number of cases.

"You may need to pause. You may need to drop back a little bit," he advised states experiencing the spikes, so the U.S. can reduce the number of cases. "I don't think you necessarily have to revert to going all the way back to closing."

Fauci said states such as Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Minnesota are starting to see surges in the percentage of positive tests.

    ROLL THE TAPE!!
"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

    Fauci is lying to you

Every viral outbreak has the same pattern. It starts out. Spikes, then decreases. Why? Because eventually it runs out of people to infect. Happens with EVERY single virus.

Now this is where you cry about mutations and such crazy shit you never worried about before with ANY other virus.

So long as the hospitals are not crashing we are winning.

Serious/Critical cases have been essentially flatlined for months.

Herding, amazing even know someone is pushing the herding narrative, we got one hundred fifty dead Americans without herding and this poster is recommending herding

By the way, prior viruses had preventive measures, treatments, already present immunities from even earlier viruses, and most of all, vaccines, COVID has none of those

But Fauci is an acknowledged infectious disease specialist who is recognized for commendable prior public service under both Dem and Rep Presidents, I'll go with him over his critics, who largely are politicians, medical personnel as Dr. Immanuel, and media demogogues

This is what looking at credentials and not quality of the work tends to get one now that the so-called experts suck ass as much as ours do.

No, we are not winning. And no, we have not essentially flatlined for months. That's just more of your bullshit. Daily deaths have been on a steady upward course for almost a month, and they are almost certainly going to continue. You aren't actually going with 'we have this under control' are you? Good God, how delusional are you?

Herd immunity isn’t a ‘narrative’. It’s an actual thing.

There’s some speculation that immunity to COVID is only transient but that doesn’t mean herd immunity is ineffectual over the short term. In fact, I’ll wager Fauci was one of the experts who were sweating bullets over Sweden’s approach since they did everything ‘wrong’ but Sweden is doing well.

The most parsimonious explanation for Sweden? Herd immunity. The *narrative* is that Cuomo deserves a ribbon for the way NY is doing; but again, the more plausible explanation is that region has reached herd immunity.

COVID seems to be a novel virus—except when it isn’t. If it’s novel, Fauci is making educated guesses with future projections. He’s been wrong before.

I might win the lottery tonight. And I might not. There is not an equal chance of both. Fauci is an expert. You are not. Fauci may well be right. We may end up seeing 100,000 cases in a day. He never said that would happen 'by now'.

Covid is a failure of the experts and a failure of the political class, but not remotely in the way that you imagine.

Maybe in a decade or two you will figure out where we went wrong.

LOL, Sweden is doing well? No, they aren't. They are doing horribly. Sweden has more cases per million than ANY OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRY. They may look good compared to us, but we are the gold standard of bad. Do you EVER get tired of being wrong?
