Saw a 11:00 local news about a young black boy being killed. Apparently they did care.

1. There is a high percentage of black on black crimes, mostly related to drugs and gangs, where it doesn't involve children most of the time.
2. The BLM protesters have to drop their time and jobs to go to each one of them, travelling all over the USA, spending money on hotel and gas.

Black on black crimes are a local affairs. There are organizations in those cities that are involved in fighting that.
