You have refused to answer if masks stop viruses or not, so are you trying to answer my question by posting everything but the actual answer? Correct, as any sane, intelligent and educated adult can tell you.

Sane people have home fire insurance. It's a protective measure. They wear rubber gloves when skinning rabbits and hogs. Not a guarantee, but a simply attempt to avoid trichinosis. They'd look funny at a doctor operating on an open wound who didn't wear a surgical mask. The mask isn't to protect the doctor from disease but to protect the patient. People who are now saying "masks don't work" are either completely ignorant of these other things or operating on something other than common sense.

Agreed on masks preventing spreading the disease. As all sane and intelligent Americans know, the N95 mask is to prevent catching the virus as opposed to spreading it. The person you are conversing with is intelligent, but he doesn't have all the dots on his dice. Ergo, don't expect a rational answer.

Yes, it'd be great if we all had N95 masks, face shields and hazmat suits, but that's impractical in a nation of 328M. Doing what we can to prevent spreading the virus is rational. Those who are against are irrational.

He's the type who believes wearing a mask is more dangerous than not wearing a mask....for good reason; his girlfriend came home and said she caught both herpes and chlamydia from her mask so now he's against masks.

Some masks can stop viruses, some masks will stop viruses. Have you ever passed a basic science or medical class? Do you understand about filtration? The problem of the amount of filtration versus the size of the particles being filtrated? Have you ever tried to smack flies with a fishing net versus smacking them with a flyswatter? Do you understand why one is more effective than the other?

Masks stop or cut down Corona. That is a fact. it has been demonstrated in many locations across the world. Rightys, so far have the right to not wear masks. They should exercise that right among others who think that badly. But do not spread your virus among those who know better.

Masks stop viruses. They don't stop every single one but they stop the majority.
An N95 mask will actually stop about 99% of viruses based on the science of how they work.
A surgical mask will stop about 80% of particles.

Your repeated attempts to deny science don't do show you in a good light.
