And your analysis is too COVID-centric. Speaking of CA, since their numbers are spiking [in July] they are keeping kids out of school in the fall. Almost like they were looking for an excuse.

Democrats are making a very bad political miscalculation on school openings. It is going to piss off a lot of voters in a really big way. That isn’t ‘just a mild inconvenience’ to tens of millions of parents.
Most voters, the majority, do not favor the return to school this fall You are wrong again

You always talk about Dems making "bad miscalculations," but every time you do, Biden's lead in the polls grows.

You base it on how YOU feel. In the poll today, 70% of Americans did not support Trump's blanket rush on schools. I happen to agree w/ you that it's better to have kids back in schools - but it can't be an isolated blanket decision. It has to be responsible, and based on actual science & circumstances. It may not be the best thing in some areas.

Regardless, MOST Americans support a more cautious approach. Your "miscalculation" comment is based on nothing.

What if masks do actually work but CA sucks at controlling their immigration? Maybe they should think about building a wall or something.
    LOL. That's a strawman.

Is there a break down in the poll numbers regarding parents of school kids?

And what does the science say about schools opening?

It’s also funny and it might even help lol.

Have we ruled out infections coming across from Mexico into CA? We’re deep into page two and we still don’t know why CA is having trouble controlling their numbers except that masks don’t seem to be helping.

I do not know. And how did other countries manage to keep it at bay?

Is there another country on the planet with borders as porous as ours?

Why *wouldn’t* at least some of our case numbers be due to people sneaking in here? Especially, in the southern states.

    No.

But how rigorous is their testing? Has any country tested more than us?

    ____________

Per usual, the cases aren’t categorized and are all glommed together in one big number so it’s hard to know what exactly to make of it, but that’s beside the point.

CA guidelines mandated masks a month ago. And here there are setting a daily record at 11,000 cases [again, the raw numbers don’t tell us anything regarding clinical cases vs positive tests, but bear with me] so what gives?

Do masks work ‘just a bit’? I was under the impression that if we social distanced and masked, that the numbers would come down, we could open the economy up get things rocking again [well, maybe not too early, since the election isn’t till November].

Maybe someone can explain what’s going on in CA. I have my own ideas but they can wait.
The fact that your skeptical of masks is evidence of a severe mental defect on your part
