I think they were directed at the type of Christianity those mentioned serve up these days and I absolutely agree with Dean. The tweets from both men since Trump has been I office does not reflect true Christian values. There are very few people who will stand up to these faux Christian leaders and renounce their evil rhetoric. It reflects badly on all Christians in my opinion, that they let these men represent their religion.

I think Dean's tweet could have been worded more artfully, but it is true that the Calvinist prosperity gospel of Falwell, Roberts, Joel Olsteen has almost nothing to do with the life example lived by Jesus - and is giving Christianity a bad name.

These Calvinists also get no credit for the social work and charity practiced Catholics, Jesuits, and other traditions which emphasize the social gospel.
