It is interesting how many adults are basically refusing to go back to work in the schools and universities. Also how many are conducting blackmail before agreeing to go back.

The authors of the LAUSD paper make it clear that leadership of the 35,000-member union believes that — although the entire country has had to deal with the virus—the burden has not been evenly shared.

The paper called the common saying, “We’re all in this together” a “platitude” that fails to acknowledge the data that shows the coronavirus has been a disproportionate burden for racial and ethnic minorities.

JustTheNews.com, which was founded by journalist John Solomon, was first to report on the LAUSD linking -- in part -- the reopening to police defunding. The report also pointed out that the union said charter schools “drain resources from district schools.”

Ther are lots of adults in schools too. Teachers, administrations, and custodians. They will be sitting in a Corona stew for hours every day. So will kids. Thinking kids bumping into it is the same as sitting in the virus all day , is likely wrong. I am not so sure it is a good idea. You should have nurses who are very familiar with Corona in schools.

Well, four expert pediatric docs gave an unequivocal ‘yes’ to whether they’d send their own kids to school.

Let’s drop the pretense that this isn’t an election year issue for Democrats: Democrats need to bend the knee on schools opening or there are going to be a lot of ‘highly aggravated’ voters in swing states who may just go ahead and vote for Trump even if they don’t like him.

There is no ‘science’ that says COVID presents a significant risk to kids and young people [nobody waste my time with anecdotes please/thanks].

So, they make it a matter of teachers or ancillary help being threatened by it. The solution to that is easy: categorize teachers as essential workers.

See how easy that was? So, teachers can join the army of essential workers throughout the country who have gone to work every day throughout the pandemic.

No biggie.

They can even incentivize it by having a ‘teachers eat free day’ once a week at McDonald’s. But at this point there just is no compelling reason why kids shouldn’t be back in school in the fall.

Or a scientific reason, for that matter. It may sound scary, but that’s not scientific.
