You want a clear case of corruption in a Presidential pardon? This is THE textbook case of all time: Bill Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich.

This was a solid quid pro quo to let a filthy rich White collar Wall Street criminal walk by a cabal of Democrats who got paid hundreds of thousands to pardon him. It wasn't a sentence commutation like Stone (WHO WASN'T PARDONED contrary to claims by the TDS crowd) but a full pardon before he was even tried as Rich was hiding out in Switzerland to avoid extradition.

The OP of this thread stated:
I demonstrated quite clearly that the Stone commutation is neither unprecedented or a historic case of corruption by comparing it to what is possibly the worst case of a Presidential pardon in the history of the US. That puts the Trump action in perspective to a degree as basically a nothing burger except to the deranged TDS crowd.Unprecedented, historic corruption: an American president commutes the sentence of a person convicted by a jury of lying to shield that very president.

The country voted for a mobster because it was offered Billary as an alternative. Bernie would have been a good president. Trump has been a distraction, an amusement, a fool and now a cautionary tale . What a shame that the country, in all probablity, now has to stomach four years of Biden. Bernie would have been a good president.

Yes that stunk to high hell, as the criminal was not deserving in any way, but you avoid an important distinction,
there is no evidence Rich was convicted for obstructing justice in an investigation of the person doing the pardoning.
By your metric, nobody should be pardoned, as they are ALL doing time and guilty of felonies.
Sorry, unconvincing digression. I shot your red herring with my speargun of pure concentrated reason!
