    This is not news.

In fact, I’m sure the Italians did autopsies on COVID victims and discovered the identical thing. At that point, it’s time to scratch your head and say ‘hmm, respiratory viruses don’t cause blood clots’. ‘What’s going on here?’

So you keep looking and with some serum analysis you discover that these victims have unusually high levels of cytokine in their blood. So you consult some immunologists and they say high cytokine levels can damage the linings of vessels, causing the lining to slough off and form clots, which then go on to obstruct arteries to major organs.

Yes, COVID has claimed many victims—but it does it an a ‘round about way’.

China knew this too, but we can’t trust them. But the Italians had to know this early on, so the question becomes how did WHO not know it? Or the CDC?

Why did it take so long for them de-emphasize intubation in favor of aggressively treating the immune system of these people *before* they required intubation and *before* the onset of the end-stage cytokine Storm? As soon as their blood oxygen level dropped they stuck a tube in them and allowed their immune system to run rampant? No wonder people were dying right and left.

How could they possibly not know this? How many lives did it cost?

I’ll take the Prednisone Hydroxy Zinc cocktail on the rocks. Screw the drink, I want an IV dose right up to the point where I’m barely under the line for kidney damage. Hook me up now, and get that damn ET tube out of here.

It really is astounding they were so late to the party on this. But there’s no Trump angle, so nobody cares, and yeah.

Isn't it odd that no other country is having this "second wave"?

I guess no other country is trying to unseat a President. They didn't damage the economy enough the first time around

    Masks lol.

I won’t speculate farther than to say something is fishy about it. It’s to the point you can’t trust the media to report on it accurately and the counting methods have been sketchy from the get go.

I think it’s a little odd that things have been open open long enough that these spikes seem ‘a little late’ to be related to opening. People are being tested that wouldn’t be otherwise. Athletes for example, are being tested and found positive [would they have even known it otherwise?] which seems to suggest the virus is A LOT more prevalent in the population than has been assumed by our illustrious experts.

There’s a not insignificant fraction of patients admitted to hospitals for something non-COVID related that test positive after admission—they get counted as hospitalized with COVID. Some of the ICU space is taken up by people that had their treatments DELAYED by the CDC’s brilliant idea to shut down elective procedures; also, many people were scared to go to the ER so their chronic gallbladder went gangrenous [or whatever] and they wound up in ICU when they could have been treated in April or early May.

Some of it is the same-old same-old lack of accurate categorization that bumps the numbers up. And again, with the media, they aren’t curious enough to dig into the numbers to see if things are being accurately categorized.

Even with COVID deaths—when did they die, exactly? How many are actually June deaths that are just being recorded?

It’s hard to know what exactly is going on.

A couple of things worth noting

    1) We are testing 3-4 times as many people as we tested in April
    2) We are not doing antibody testing and those are being counted as NEW cases. Florida, Texas and Georgia are doing it.
    3) As you stated, people are now showing up to the hospital for put off surgeries and are being tested. They are admitted for a hip, test positive for COVID and now it is a hospital admission for COVID. No it isn't
    4) ICUs run at 80-95% capacity on any given day. It is stupid business to have excess capacity you aren't using
    5) I just learned that in order to get remdesivir you have to be ADMITTED you can't get it as an outpatient. So even if you aren't sign enough to be admitted, you will in order to get Bill Gates drug

I guess that was more than a couple huh?
