I won’t speculate farther than to say something is fishy about it. It’s to the point you can’t trust the media to report on it accurately and the counting methods have been sketchy from the get go.

I think it’s a little odd that things have been open open long enough that these spikes seem ‘a little late’ to be related to opening. People are being tested that wouldn’t be otherwise. Athletes for example, are being tested and found positive [would they have even known it otherwise?] which seems to suggest the virus is A LOT more prevalent in the population than has been assumed by our illustrious experts.

There’s a not insignificant fraction of patients admitted to hospitals for something non-COVID related that test positive after admission—they get counted as hospitalized with COVID. Some of the ICU space is taken up by people that had their treatments DELAYED by the CDC’s brilliant idea to shut down elective procedures; also, many people were scared to go to the ER so their chronic gallbladder went gangrenous [or whatever] and they wound up in ICU when they could have been treated in April or early May.

Some of it is the same-old same-old lack of accurate categorization that bumps the numbers up. And again, with the media, they aren’t curious enough to dig into the numbers to see if things are being accurately categorized.

Even with COVID deaths—when did they die, exactly? How many are actually June deaths that are just being recorded?

Forty years. January 3rd, 1980 was my first day.

Until one day it just stopped, when the CDC and Fauci decided my skills were no longer needed. Worked my last shift in March and didn’t realize it was my last shift. Thanks to Fauci and the CDC, my former employer is struggling to stay open so they call back the most experienced/costly people back last.

If at all. In the meantime, some of the patient care ‘isn’t quite what it was’.

It actually worked out well for me since I was set to retire at the end of the year. Lucky enough to be vested and I have other positive circumstances. It’s still jacked up, in principle.
