We valued the president at $3.1 billion a month ago. Now he’s worth $2.1 billion. Here’s why.
To approximate how much the coronavirus affected the president’s fortune, we looked at changes in the price of stocks similar to each segment of his business. Commercial real estate was clearly down, with shares of several companies, including Boston Properties and Vornado Realty Trust, plunging an average of 37% from March 1, 2020, to March 18, 2020, the date we calculated fortunes for the billionaires list. Similar decreases dragged down the value of hospitality companies, apartment owners and golf businesses. Using those declines as a guide, we applied discounts to Trump’s precoronavirus numbers, then reviewed the changes with industry experts.

The bottom line: a net worth valuation of $2.1 billion—a drop of $1 billion in less than a month. That will surely change again, as every index performs like an electrocardiogram. But, says New York City real estate broker Eric Anton, “The analysis, it’s as good as any other way I can think of.”

Florida is at 19 per 100,000 WAY below New York or New Jersey.
The difference right now is that NY numbers will remain pretty much the same, while the others will continue to increase

Is it any wonder Trump will risk the lives of millions of school students just to get his businesses back in the black?

No wonder at all. What I'm wondering about is how many state and local authorities will do as he commands and reopen, or else. My guess is that most will not, particularly in states and local regions where compliance with pandemic measures is more common.

Those who opened up to please Trump (and their Trumpian constituents) are all now on the wrong side of a healthy graph. They should be more worried about being reelected or not facing a Democrat majority in their own states than about pleasing Trump.

Most of all, they should be worried about pleasing parents. Because parents are not going to send their kids to school if they don't feel safe about it. Republicans refused to do a single fucking thing about school massacres. This is even worse. Most children won't die when they get infected. But their parents and g-parents will. Notice how no one wants to risk their lives to go to a #COVID45 rally? Think how they don't want to put their children in harms way.

If the fucktard-in-chief was smart he would leave it up to the school districts, urge caution, and promise a partnership with federal, state, and local govt. to make reopening safer and more palatable. And he would offer resources for schools -- and parents -- who want to keep the kids educated yet safe.

    He's not smart.

How many have died from school shootings? You "conservatives" are not allowed to even MENTION child deaths at school until you address that question.

What do you care anyways? You don't have kids you're going to send to school. You live in a state with the worst current infection rate in this country. Why do you care if the children go back to school, or learn remotely? Because not reopening schools makes your orange shitgibbon look bad? Sorry, sister, but that train left the station a few months ago. lol
