NY State Prosecutors get the Tax Returns.
Congress does not.
Trump wont have to turn them over right away, but he will eventually. He can run the clock until after November, but the prosecution is running down that track! If there are crimes, 2021 will see Trump in Criminal Court in NY.

I think the important component of the ruling is that the President does not have blanket immunity from Congressional subpoenas. Trump asked for a coat of armor, he was given a fig leaf. That's a victory for the rule of law. If Trump would have had to turn over his tax returns to Congress, it wouldn't have had any political impact whatsoever. That issue is baked into almost every American. They know Trump is a crook and a cheat, they either care or their don't. The tax returns wouldn't have changed that. The NY decision is a disaster for Trump. He should get used to wearing pinstriped suits.

It is a win and a loss. It turns back the Barr/trump imperial presidency. But turning the cases back to the SDNY means the resolution of those cases will be after November.
I'll believe it is done when we hear the news that Vance has the documents in hand.

It won't matter. Just a question of whether he will be led out in handcuffs or if he has a while to sucker his base before he lands up in jail. He's done. Tax returns not needed. Trump will just keep opening his mouth and failing at his job. He's gone in November. I understand the caution, but it ain't happening this time.
Yes and no. Basically, Trump doesn't have any arguments that you and I don't have with respect to this lawsuit. I suspect there was a legitimate reason for asking for them, and the courts are going to allow this to happen. Then you have grand jury indictments and a trial. That was never going to happen before November even if Trump was forced to give them to Vance today. I have no reason to think now that he won't get them. The ONLY question the lower court now has to answer is whether the purpose of the subpoena is to harass the President. That's a slam dunk. Whether the documents are relevant to the case is a NY decision, not a Federal decision.
