I killed a Sidewinder in the California high desert back in the 1980s and did the same thing with it. My grandson wanted me to kill some Copperheads by his "fort" and do the same to them, but the COVID crisis put the kibosh on that and now it's too hot and overgrown. Maybe by fall.
