The crime bill that Biden says he wrote gave us these two beauties and now he wants to be the guy to fix mass incarceration? The 1994 crime bill was such an unmitigated disaster that Clinton who signed it into law now claims that “it made the problem worse.”

I’m very concerned about giving Biden another shot at a police reform bill. He has no leg to stand on at all when it comes to this issue. The funny part is that he stills claims to be proud of this bill but I believe he is the only one left still trying to defend this.

Correct: it's not a tank. It's an M109 self-propelled howitzer. The one the Sheriff had in his parade wasn't operational. There's no need for any police department to have an artillery piece, self-propelled or not. His department did have an armored personnel carrier (armored car on tracks.) If a town is so fucked up it needs tanks and APCs, then the state should get involved.
