Fundamentally change the prison system? How about we start by dropping mandatory minimums and the three strike rule? The crime bill that Biden says he wrote gave us these two beauties and now he wants to be the guy to fix mass incarceration? The 1994 crime bill was such an unmitigated disaster that Clinton who signed it into law now claims that “it made the problem worse.”

I’m very concerned about giving Biden another shot at a police reform bill. He has no leg to stand on at all when it comes to this issue. The funny part is that he stills claims to be proud of this bill but I believe he is the only one left still trying to defend this.
