For example, the science indicates that we're destroying our planet right now - I support science and accept it, but I do not embrace that.

Besides - we have evolved to have advanced cognitive abilities. We can deal w/ this virus as a species in a much more positive way for life & livelihood - but our leaders choose not to.

We are in the middle of the first Corona pandemic. We have no data on long term damage. We know that a quarter of those who have it show lung damage. It is probably a lifetime problem. Now scans are showing a large portion of Corona people have brain inflammation and an unexpected amount of strokes. Treating it like a non-problem may be a terrible long term mistake. We do not even know what we are dealing with, but rightys know it is not a problem.

Yep. Smart people act responsibly and decrease their risk of contracting the virus. Stupid people do not. It's classic natural selection.

Like so many left/right issues it is a matter or priorities. The left supports making people's lives and health a priority, the right supports corporate profits and the economy. The fact that we are in an actual killer pandemic doesn't seem to faze them.

They make up their own reality. The news is meaningless to them. They have their own alternate facts. They think the whole pandemic is overblown, nothing to be afraid of. They don't want to admit how many 'recovered' never really recovered completely and have permanent health issues. I have an acquaintance who got it months ago and still having symptoms. He says it comes and goes. Chest pain, difficulty breathing, fever, still has 'em, months later. This guy is 50, strong, never got sick, etc. Knocked him on his butt. He's able to go back to work but has his 'bad days.'

Even if ya don't die and you're strong this thing is nothing to mess with or blow off. The right is being very foolish to do so. But of course, since it is the left saying so, they are not going to listen.
