More like months.
Actually, I think we never had to close. If we had gone full bore on early testing and contact tracing we could have kept it far more under control. We could have taken smart coordinated measures to far more effect than this haphazard BS we ended up with.
This is how polarization hurts us.
Different sides taking different approaches when we needed a singular unified approach.
But of course, that would have taken qualified leadership, so no wonder we're in deep do-do.
This never had to be political.
We humans are all on the same side in this one.
Summa these people are way to hung up on we/they theory.
