But it resists accountability .. the curriculum is pretty standard. the classrooms are not run well -teachers.

Politicians in some states have written blank checks to police, firefighter and other public unions for election endorsements. Those blank checks have put some state's budget in jeopardy. That's a failure of leadership on the part of government, not the fault of those public unions for taking the money offered.
