So? Your link says what I stated much earlier in this thread. Natural gas is replacing coal because of how cheap gas is. Let coal die a natural death. What Obama was doing was trying the equivalent of smothering it with a pillow. He wanted to rush the process and that was expensive.

It also doesn't change the fact that wind and solar are no replacements, more costly, and horribly inefficient so we shouldn't even be pushing things in that direction.

If you really are a believer in Gorebal Warming then the economically viable future is going to natural gas, then nuclear, and replacing gasoline with hydrogen. Ignore solar, wind, and battery cars because they are all non-viable economic losers.

Third, you are entirely incorrect about alternative energy sources and especially electric cars.
Since I have already written copious volumes about such on these pages I will not be bothered with redundant debate with you of all people.

The simple fact is that coal use for generation of electricity in the US has dropped from 50% in 2000 to 23.5% in 2019, a precipitous drop of more than 50%, which occured 40% before Obama and 15% after.
