As part of an answer on energy policy, she said, “We're going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.” This was immediately taken as a sign of her hostility to the working class and a confirmation of Democrats’ “war on coal.”

Delusional, Trump just can't understand that coal is yesterdays energy supply.

Coal is on the way out regardless of what government does. Natural gas is cheaper to use for power generation so coal is being phased out in favor of it. Let it go peacefully. Don't force it's discontinuance like Obama was doing or the greentards are demanding. It's use will end because something cheaper and better replaced it--and no, that won't be wind and solar.

Trump in allowing coal to continue as an industry is taking the correct path to it's becoming phased out. Industry is making the decision based on economics rather than government based on lunatic politics.

No one in Obama's government forced any coal plants to close
It was economic then as now.

I think it’s cute you think that Trump actually thinks about things past what gets him votes. He has never bothered to educate himself on any subject.

Wrong. Obama put in place regulations and other administrative procedures that forced the closing of coal plants through driving their operating costs up.

And, Obama didn't care what it was costing the government to get that done.

Of course, another difference is that Trump isn't pushing the idiotic Green agenda of solar, wind, battery cars, and all the other utter stupidity that goes with that that the Left loves like Obama did. Obama squandered hundreds of billions on that moronic, unworkable nonsense for eight years and it still isn't even close to working--any of it.
