economists said they now expect the economy to grow 25% in the third quarter having previously predicted 33%. That would result in the economy slumping 4.6% this year, worse than the 4.2% previously seen.

But the Goldman Sachs economists said they still expected growth of 5.8% next year and now project unemployment will be at 9% at the end of this year, down from the previous estimate of 9.5%.

    Trump's amazing economy.

He really blew it. He could have handled the pandemic so much better. He thought he could ignore it & it would just go away - no leadership.

This election will not be about the economy, but it will center on Trumps handling of Covid19, and Russians paying the Taliban to kill American soldiers. You know quite well why his approval number are tanking, why he must campaign in previously solid red states.

According to Trump, the economy is roaring back, like a rocket.

horseshit. It was not "ignored" . are you this stupid or just bull-headed partisan stuck on memes?
Must I go thru the steps Trump used counseling with Fauci?

Trump restricted travel in January. After that - zilch.

He completely ignored it & downplayed it throughout the entire month of February - a month we can never get back. Remember "15 down to zero?"

And he's been a bystander for the most part since then. He barely even talks about it. He should be out there every single day, emphasizing what we know works: distancing, washing hands, wearing masks, testing & tracing.

Instead, what do we get? When he talks about COVID, his MAIN talking point (tweeted again yesterday) is that if we didn't test, there would be fewer cases. Which is insane.

He's been pathetic in his response to COVID. Absolutely pathetic. And the results speak for themselves - we're one of the worst countries in the world in containing the spread.

    that was big.
500k Chinese did not come here -also the EU path of the virus was stopped

look at what Fauci said as well -
nobody saw this coming full bore because of Chinese obfuscation, propagated by the WHO as well

And he's been a bystander for the most part since then. He barely even talks about it. He should be out there every single day, emphasizing what we know works: distancing, washing hands, wearing masks, testing & tracing.
It's constantly being talked about. What Trump says or not doesn't effect behavior as we've seen

it's a key concept. If we acted just on testing we'd be shutdown again.
Testing at this point doesn't really show the damage by COVID
because of the population shift to younger victims - again the morbidity and ICU rate
( and there you have to look just as COVID) are a real measure of the virility of the disease

    no we are not.
we have the positives because no one comes close to the testing we do . wise up
