Okay, so how is this true except for criminal actions that are already crimes and prosecuted for the US?

Oh innocent women and children suffering or being killed are imaginary? Gay people being imprisoned or killed is imaginary?

    lol

In 1999, when “Supernatural” was released, my daughter was 17. She came home one day saying “Dad, there’s a great album by this new guy named Carlos Santana!” We still laugh about it.

There's still discrimination and harassment against LGBT people, for example.

Another one is gang and drug wars in ghettos. Ironically, JPP Trump supporters are so woke about that that they have to constantly remind us of that.

What crime did Breonna Taylor commit to catch 8 bullets? Are you saying every police killing was a lawful street execution?

It's a mock now - a slur. "Hey, ya little wokies, nyah, nyah, nyah."

Are there some who overused the term, or made it a "better than thou" boast? Of course. But all it means is being aware. Acknowledging the issues that are right in front of our face.

It's something we all should aspire toward. When people mock the term, all I really hear is that they'd prefer to remain in the dark.
Still ANOTHER post FAIL. This is getting to be ridiculous.

I’ve not heard any millennial say they invented the term but it is a regular part of their lexicon

It's not the term I'm referencing since slang changes over time. It's the concept.

The New York Times and NPR have used the term plenty. Hell LeBron James, one of the most famous people on the planet and a big activist, used the term today in his tweet. If you’ve never heard someone use the term woke you are not paying attention.

    you moron.
Nothing "aware" about being "woke", it's a mindless state of thoughtless discipline to PC orthodoxy -
quite different from actually being aware. in fact one is utterly unaware of anything not approved by PC thought

it is in the sense that the 1619 Project is "aware" of injustices. it completely misses all nuance.
The US is a racist construct. it cannot be redeemed. Get woke about it and tear it down (i.e)

It's blind adherence to radical thought
