Sheriff Darryl Daniels of Clay County, Florida, released a 3-minute video Tuesday declaring he will deputize the county's gun owners if protesters decide to visit the jurisdiction southwest of Jacksonville and turn into rioters.
As he stood with 18 deputies behind him, Daniels declared, "Don’t fall victim to subjecting yourself to this conversation that law enforcement is bad, that law enforcement is the enemy of the citizens that we’re sworn to protect and serve.
"We swore an oath, and in that oath, we swore to support, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the government, and that we’re duly qualified under the state’s Constitution to hold office. That is for me as a sheriff and these men and women as deputy sheriffs. And we end that with, ‘So help me God.’
Daniels is not the first sheriff to suggest deputizing law-abiding gun owners in his county.
Last year, Scott Jenkins, the sheriff of Culpeper County, Virginia, vowed to deputize thousands in his county if the state's Democratic leaders passed extreme gun control measures. His county's Board of Supervisors had unanimously agreed to declare the county a Second Amendment Constitutional County.

Commander in Chief Trump has the constitutional authority to use the military to stop the invasion on the Mexico-U.S. border, but he does not need the military to deal with AMERICAN criminals. Sheriffs have the authority to keep the peace. See this thread for details:

Basically, President Trump has to deal with television mouths shouting Posse Comitatus if he uses the military to beat back illegal aliens claiming political asylum, as well as tell the United Nations to shove non-existent International law where the sun never shines.
First, have a sheriff form a posse made up of able-bodied military personnel arrest and immediately deport foreigners disturbing the peace. The very presence of illegal aliens disturbs the peace. Old-time sheriffs used to run troublemakers out of town. There is nothing prohibiting today’s sheriffs from running them out of the country.

Put the illegal alien invasion aside for a minute. There is nothing preventing sheriffs from organizing posses to stop American Communists from breaking the law in cities all across this country. Not even mayors and governors can stop them.
The best part is that sheriffs do not have to saddle up their police cars and lead the posses. The only thing sheriffs have to do is deputize millions of well-armed, law-abiding, AMERICANS and get the hell out of the way.
Finally, Democrats disarming, de-funding, and demolishing police departments will be the first ones sending for the sheriff when old-fashion posses enforce the law.
