Trump may have seen 3.5% unemployment but it is hardly a record. It just is the lowest since 1969. I count at least 6 years since WW2 where unemployment was lower.
Trump does have the record for highest unemployment rate since WW2. He pretty much shattered that one. Beating the previous record for highest unemployment by 3.9 points. The unemployment rate in June is still higher than during any other Presidency since WW2.

Job gains that even if they continue for the next 4 months like the last 2 months will barely put us back to where we were when Trump took office and still leave 5 million people unemployed that had jobs in February. And we already are seeing that July won't have the same job gains as 20% of the population live in 5 states that are closing back down because of the spikes in cases.
Wishful thinking isn't going to cause the virus to go away and it isn't going to create jobs for people when the businesses they used to work for have restrictions as to how many people they can serve.
