Default Reparations bill gaining steam in the House

Legislation exploring whether Black Americans should receive restitution for slavery may soon get a huge boost, as a growing number of Democrats are hoping to move reparations this summer as another response to the death of George Floyd.

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) will huddle Wednesday to discuss their next legislative steps as Democrats seek to confront racial inequality following the police killing of Floyd last month.

    This could get interesting.

I’m not sure House Democrats are particularly anxious to vote on a reparations bill. But we are in a post-Kirby political environment where paying insufficient homage to anything to do with racial injustice issues or whatever the hell ‘structural racism’ is, can be politically costly.

So don’t be surprised if this bill gets out of caucus and onto the floor—I would actually like to see it.

Reparations polls miserably amongst voters more generally. As well it should: it would be an administrative nightmare. Not to mention the cost to taxpayers.

    So, what do they do?

It will NEVER get passed the Senate or the President.

    Well, that’s a given lol.

But I’d like to get some Democrats on record before November.

I owe them nothing, as they nor anyone they know were slaves, well except to the Democrat party, who simply moved the plantations to the inner city, and now all they have to do is vote blue, and get handed the bare minimum to get by!

They were never close to being slaves lol.

And that’s just where the absurdity starts. What about mixed race individuals? They get 50% and 25% for ‘mostly white’ people and etc?

    Reparations could cost nothing.

All it takes is changing some laws that target and oppress Black americans.
