First off, this absurd notion that tRump isn't a politician is hilarious. tRump most definitely is a politician. He is just an incredibly bad one.

That said, tRump has to essentially ignore Covid and to try and move past it. Why? because continually bring attention to Covid only amplifies his total and complete incompetence in his handling of it. In other words, once you break your mom's favorite vase-by playing ball in the house-you don't remind her of how pretty it looked again and again.

Any other recent past POTUS would address the situation head on take responsibility and the criticism that accompanies it, much like Obama with H1N1 and Bush 43 with Katrina. Sadly, tRump's thin skin and egomaniac tendencies only allow him to accept credit for positive things-even if tRump didn't deserve the credit to start with. Simply put, tRump does not have the character needed to be a leader in a time of crisis.

By avoiding Covid, he doesn't have to "face the music" and does what all cowards and inept politicians do. He downplays it and then simply runs from it.
